Espresso Blend

£7.50 – £28.00 / Month

We have developed a blend particularly suited to espresso machines, a dark rich roast with plenty of body giving a fabulous crema. The blend contains Ethiopian Djimmah 5, Brazilian Santos and a high grade Vietnamese Robusta.  A rich golden crema should always top an espresso  the crema shows that all the essential oils have been extracted from the coffee. If ground correctly this coffee can also be used in cafetieres and percolators for a strong earthy tasting coffee.

Description

Our Espresso Blend has been carefully developed for espresso machines, creating a dark, rich and full-bodied coffee with a deep flavour and a fabulous golden crema.

This distinctive blend combines Ethiopian Djimmah 5, Brazilian Santos and high-grade Vietnamese Robusta. Together, they create a strong, earthy espresso with plenty of body, intensity and the rich crema that makes a great espresso so satisfying.

For the best results, the grind is vitally important. Choose an espresso grind when using an espresso machine, whether automatic or stove-top. A grind that is too coarse can result in a thin, under-extracted coffee and will not allow the full character of the blend to develop.

The resulting espresso should have a rich golden crema across the top, adding to the aroma, texture and overall experience of the coffee.

Although designed with espresso in mind, this versatile blend can also be enjoyed in a cafetière or percolator. Simply choose the appropriate grind for your brewing method to enjoy a strong, rich and earthy cup.

Perfect for coffee lovers who enjoy a bold espresso with plenty of body and character.

Coffee Roasting is an exact science and we figure it’s best left with the professionals who really know what they’re doing. The result is lots of choice for you and a perfectly roasted bean every time.

A medium roast coffee is most beneficial for flavouring, this gives a lovely coffee taste without being too strong to over power the flavour. We flavour to order, ensuring the maximum freshness for you and maximum shelf life for your coffee. We use high quality, sugar free (so suitable for diabetics) nature identical high potency flavours which add a different dimension to your everyday cup. The freshly roasted beans are 100% arabica and mixed by hand to ensure an even distribution of the flavour. If your order is for whole bean, it is packaged and sealed immediately, however if you require ground coffee, this is left for 24 hours for the flavour to gently permeate through the coffee.

We use the freshest beans possible for our flavoured and none flavoured coffee and have found that whilst these are good for up to a year, we date it for 6 months, ensuring that you have a wonderful experience even if you don’t drink it straight away. This is great for gifting too, since we appreciate that not everyone drinks as much coffee as we do.

Yes! You have full control over your subscription. Log into your account to pause, skip deliveries, change frequency, or cancel at any time. There are no long-term commitments or cancellation fees.

The grind varies immensely depending on the extraction method. Think about how long it takes to make the coffee and usually this is a good indicator of how fine the beans need to be. The general rules is the longer it takes to make the courser the coffee needs to be. These are the following choices.

Espresso Machine – a fine grind is needed for this to get the crema everyone loves.

Stove Top Mocha Pot & Aeropress – still a fine grind but not quite as fine as espresso machine

Filter – a little bit courser than the above.

Cafetiere – to get the best flavour from your coffee a medium course grind is needed.

Percolator and Cold Brew – Course ground coffee because the process is much slower.
